Client Financial Analysis – Optimization Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Deliver financial consulting and pricing assistance to enable CVS Caremark to secure and maintain business.

• Collaborate directly with clients and sales teams to offer pharmaceutical data insights for healthcare strategy decisions.

• Evaluate client business challenges through data-driven methodologies.

• Formulate conclusions and present recommendations to clients or senior management.

• Engage with both internal and external teams across sales, clinical, account management, finance, underwriting, operations, networks, trade, and product marketing.

• Cultivate and sustain knowledge of the healthcare marketplace, pharmacy benefits management sector, CVS Caremark data repositories, programs, services, and sales objectives.

• Complete an initial 18-month rotation through various managers, business units, and roles prior to permanent team assignment.

• Conduct client analyses to address specific business inquiries.

• Relay findings and suggestions to client business leaders.

• Take part in client-facing meetings and on-site or teleconferenced presentations.

• Offer consultation on PBM pricing proposals, including retail networks, specialty and mail dispensing, manufacturer rebates, and administrative fees.

• Formulate and implement pricing concepts and strategies to develop competitive financial proposals.

• Assist in achieving client financial goals and targets.

• Establish and nurture effective working relationships with internal stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

• At least 1 year of experience in analytical skills.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in finance, mathematics, operational analysis, statistics, epidemiology, sales and marketing research, accounting, economics, or another data-oriented field.

• Experience requirements can be satisfied through educational and/or internship experience.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience.

• Proficiency in extracting, manipulating, and analyzing Big Data.

• Familiarity with SAS, STATA, SPSS, R, or SQL is highly desirable.

• Background in pharmaceuticals or the healthcare industry is preferred.

• Experience in advanced Microsoft Excel modeling is preferred.

• MBA or Master’s in data analytics, finance, economics, or a related quantitative discipline is preferred.

• Capability to manage tight deadlines while ensuring accurate deliverables.

• Occasional travel to client locations may be required.
