Client Delivery Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of Agile delivery ceremonies, which include sprint planning, refinement, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.

• Collaborate with the Lead Product Owner to manage the sprint backlog, ensuring that stories are well-scoped, estimated, and ready for development.

• Monitor sprint progress, identify risks and obstacles, and either resolve or escalate them as necessary.

• Oversee delivery commitments by tracking velocity, capacity, and scope.

• Manage release processes across development, QA, DevOps, and Solutions.

• Coordinate platform-level release implications across tenant environments and handle client communications.

• Serve as the main delivery-side client contact, managing escalations and delivering updates on status and release timelines.

• Facilitate client onboarding, which includes provisioning platform environments, conducting testing, and ensuring smooth handover.

• Support and lead the team on a daily basis by alleviating friction and enhancing communication.

• Provide reports on delivery progress, quality metrics, and risks to internal stakeholders and clients.

• Manage cross-team dependencies and engage in Scrum of Scrums where applicable.

• Actively oversee RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies) throughout the delivery process.

• Collaborate with the Lead Product Owner in roadmap planning and sprint planning sessions.

• Develop a working knowledge of insurance and InsurTech client environments.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of Buckhill’s delivery framework.

• Monitor and report on client satisfaction metrics and incorporate insights into backlog prioritization.

• Utilize AI for sprint reporting, meeting summaries, documentation, backlog maintenance, and status updates.

• Experiment with AI tools that streamline processes and share best practices across Product Management.

• Implement AI within internal usage and data handling policies, particularly concerning client data.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in a Delivery Manager or Project Manager role within a software delivery organization.

• Demonstrated experience leading Agile/Scrum ceremonies and managing delivery cadence across cross-functional teams.

• Experience in managing delivery in a B2B software context.

• Preferred experience in PaaS delivery; SaaS delivery experience is also relevant.

• Familiarity with insurance, InsurTech, FinTech, or regulated industries is a significant advantage.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with a capability to lead, inspire, and support a diverse, remote-first team.

• Proficient in delivery metrics, sprint reporting, and stakeholder communication.

• Confident in handling competing priorities and making practical decisions under pressure.

• Proven track record of using AI tools in a professional delivery environment.

• Evidence of enhancing a team’s workflow through AI integration.

• Comfortable adapting to evolving AI tools.

• Scrum Master certification (PSM I or CSM) is preferred.

• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.

• Understanding of release management and basic CI/CD concepts is beneficial.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.

• Practical proficiency with AI tools for reporting, documentation, summarization, and delivery tasks, along with sound judgment regarding limitations and the need for human review.

• Must be located in the United Kingdom and eligible to work without requiring visa sponsorship.
