This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Coordinate and prepare medical claims, records, referrals, and necessary documentation for evaluation and processing.

• Gather and organize claim-related materials from various sources.

• Ensure that all required documents are complete, accurate, and compiled into detailed case files.

• Address inquiries from clients and their representatives concerning questions, report status, concerns, and information requests.

• Input and retrieve client or claimant details using the designated systems and databases.

• Maintain regular communication with QA regarding workflow and the status of pending reports.

• Reach out to providers for assignment and update the database accordingly.

• File and archive both open and closed cases.

• Verify client information and document client-specific guidelines and regulations in the system.

• Collaborate with team members and work independently to resolve inquiries and return cases promptly.

• Direct calls to other departments when necessary.

• Perform clerical tasks such as typing, filing, emailing, and proofreading.

• Assist in addressing customer complaints and quality assurance matters.

• Inform management of any report-related issues or concerns.

• Ensure compliance with state and federal safety and legal regulations.

• Execute additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• At least one year of clerical experience; or a suitable combination of education and experience is preferred.

• Experience in a medical office or the insurance sector is preferred.

• Comprehensive knowledge of general office equipment such as computers, fax machines, copiers, scanners, and telephones.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and internet usage.

• Ability to be trained on and comply with HIPAA regulations and standards.

• Skilled typist with a minimum typing speed of 40 W.P.M.

• Capability to accurately follow instructions and management directives.

• Attention to detail, thoroughness, accountability for work quality, and initiative in identifying improvements.

• Outstanding communication skills.

• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage time efficiently.

• Capacity to maintain confidentiality.

• Ability to foster and encourage a positive, team-oriented atmosphere.

• Capability to remain focused and concentrate in standard or high-distraction environments.

• Ability to perform well under pressure and in stressful situations.

• Competence in managing change, delays, or unforeseen events appropriately.

• Ability to adhere to all company policies and procedures.
