Class 3 Operator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Safely operate various types of Class 3 units at the Imperial Oil site (Kearl)

• Operate Combo Vac units

• Complete daily documentation, such as logbooks, customer work orders, field-level risk assessments, and pre/post-trip inspections

• Follow directives from Dispatch or Supervisor

• Maintain daily housekeeping of the assigned truck

• Participate in daily toolbox and safety meetings

• Comply with corporate and site safety regulations and procedures

• Maintain and operate BME tools and equipment according to established standards

• Keep all training certifications up to date

• Adhere to TDG and WHMIS standards and regulations

• Pursue opportunities for continuous improvement

• Deliver customer-focused service

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience with manual transmission

• Valid Class 3 driver’s license with a clean driving record

• At least 3 years of experience operating up to 18 speed manual Class 1 or 3 equipment

• Previous or related experience with Combo Vac units

• Knowledgeable about TDG

• Mine driving experience is an asset

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• OSSA (or BSO/CSO) and CSTS certification

• Certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Daily Trip Inspections, Provincial Hours of Service for Alberta, Weights and Dimensions, Cargo Securement for flatbeds, WHMIS, and H2S Alive

• Must successfully complete BME driver’s evaluation, Drug and Alcohol screening, and fit-for-duty pre-employment screening

• Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions

• Mechanically inclined

• Legally eligible to work in Canada
