Class 1 Operator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Operate water, sewer, and vacuum Class 1 units at the Kearl Lake client site in a safe and efficient manner.

• Transport both water and sewer.

• Maintain daily logbooks, customer work orders, field-level risk assessments, and pre/post-trip inspections.

• Execute tasks as directed by Dispatch or Supervisor.

• Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of the assigned truck.

• Participate in toolbox and safety meetings while adhering to corporate and site safety protocols.

• Ensure BME tools and equipment are maintained and operated to required standards.

• Keep all training up to date.

• Comply with TDG and WHMIS standards and regulations.

• Pursue opportunities for continuous improvement.

• Deliver customer-focused service.

• Able to work in all weather conditions.


⛳️ Requirements

• Possess a valid Class 1 driver’s license with a clean driving record.

• Have a minimum of 3 years of experience, including familiarity with up to 18-speed manual Class 1 vehicles.

• Previous or related experience in operating water and vacuum units is necessary.

• Mine driving experience is required.

• Knowledge and certification in TDG are essential.

• OSSA (or BSO/CSO) and CSTS certification are required.

• Certification in Daily Trip Inspections, Provincial Hours of Service for Alberta, Weights and Dimensions, Cargo Securement for flatbeds, WHMIS, H2S Alive, and First Aid is necessary.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

• Must be physically capable of performing tasks and working in all weather conditions.

• Mechanically inclined and physically fit individuals are preferred.

• Must successfully pass BME driver’s evaluation, Drug and Alcohol screening, and fit-for-duty pre-employment screening.

• Willingness to haul both water and sewer is required.

• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
