This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +4 more states.
• Oversee and guide a team of claims adjusters and specialists, ensuring that performance goals and quality standards are achieved.
• Evaluate and authorize coverage assessments on claims within designated authority, escalating issues as required.
• Offer technical direction, coaching, and mentorship to team members.
• Supervise workflow, distribute resources, and address escalated issues to uphold service-level agreements.
• Ensure adherence to relevant laws, industry regulations, and internal policies regarding all claims operations.
• Work in conjunction with internal stakeholders to pinpoint process enhancements and execute best practices for claims management.
• Review claims data to uncover trends, manage risk exposure, and suggest strategic initiatives.
• Perform performance evaluations and aid in workforce planning, which includes hiring, training, and succession management.
• Handle Construction Defect claims and promote effective claims resolution to meet business goals and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Bachelor’s degree in insurance, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5 or more years of experience in claims handling, including a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership position.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex and high-severity claims across various lines of business.
• State adjuster license as required, or the ability to secure one within a specified timeframe.
• Preferred professional insurance certifications such as CPCU or AIC.
• Skills in claims investigation and analysis.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance.
• Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
• Proficient in conflict resolution and decision-making.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Competence in data analysis and reporting.
• Experience in process improvement and workflow management.

• Fluency in the English language is required.
