Claims Service Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Obtain initial loss reports for straightforward auto and property claims through an Express Claim Center.

• Address customer inquiries regarding processes, policies, and subsequent steps.

• Update information related to claims.

• Arrange inspections, dispatch mitigation vendors or contractors to customer properties, or coordinate housing as required.

• Communicate with customers and claim-related third parties to gather or provide pertinent file information.

• Receive, screen, and direct incoming phone calls and electronic correspondence.

• Clarify the basic claims process and supply general information to customers.

• Retrieve, print, fax, or send supporting documentation.

• Locate, request, organize, reconstruct, and transfer claim files.

• Conduct clerical tasks including data entry, filing, email management, calendar oversight, and word processing.

• Process initial auto and home loss calls.

• Utilize decision-making authority on claims and ascertain when appropriate inspection and emergency services are necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service.

• Proficiency in both verbal and written communication.

• Bilingual in English and French.

• Expertise in delivering exceptional customer service.

• Ability to perform under pressure and manage high volumes of tasks efficiently.

• The French-language version additionally requires 1 year of experience in an auto/home claims adjuster position.
