This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Assist in managing the entire claims lifecycle for GL, Cyber, D&O, Property, and Marine/Cargo lines.
• Receive new cases, prepare and send notifications to carriers, and monitor claims until resolution under the supervision of Claims Counsel.
• Act as a liaison for clients, collecting necessary information and documentation, offering status updates, and coordinating with carriers, counsel, and vendors.
• Aid in coverage analysis by organizing policy documents, endorsements, and previous correspondence.
• Draft initial notice letters, demand letters, and routine correspondence for attorney review.
• Support litigation and recovery efforts by tracking deadlines, managing document requests, organizing discovery and defense materials, and compiling loss documentation.
• Ensure complete, accurate, and audit-ready claim files are maintained in the Agency Management System.
• Generate loss runs, claim summaries, and dashboard inputs for renewal narratives and client program reviews.
• Collaborate with Claims Counsel, Operations, and Product to enhance templates, checklists, and automated workflows.
• Report to the Head of Claims and maintain close collaboration with Claims Counsel and Claims Managers.
• 2–5 years of experience in supporting commercial insurance claims, insurance litigation, or coverage issues within a carrier, law firm, or brokerage setting.
• Preferred qualifications include a paralegal certificate and/or a bachelor's degree.
• Familiarity with commercial policy forms (GL, Property, D&O, Cyber, Marine/Cargo) is highly advantageous.
• Must be highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing a large volume of active matters, deadlines, and documents.
• Excellent writing and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to draft clear correspondence and engage professionally with clients, carriers, adjusters, and external counsel.
• Comfortable utilizing claims or matter-management systems.
