This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete operations of an assigned office

• Develop and implement company best practices

• Establish long-term objectives and goals

• Evaluate costs, activities, and operational efficiency

• Support the objectives of the Claims Department and CorVel

• Represent the organization to both internal and external stakeholders

• Guide employee performance and development initiatives

• Ensure adherence to Workers’ Compensation laws and regulatory requirements

• Provide training, coaching, and conduct regular performance assessments

• Apply jurisdictional knowledge along with regulatory rules, statutes, and procedures

• Oversee workflow, manage staffing levels, and implement retention strategies

• Develop and supervise standardized claims practices and procedures

• Review and resolve high-value or escalated claims

• Enhance operational efficiency, quality, and consistency across processes, personnel, and systems

• Ensure compliance with CorVel's policies and procedures


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and relevant industry experience

• At least 6 years of comprehensive experience in workers’ compensation administration

• Minimum of 2 years of recent supervisory or management experience

• Must maintain a current license or certification in Workers’ Compensation throughout employment with CorVel

• Self-Insured Certificate is preferred

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• Strong quantitative, analytical, and interpretive abilities

• Proven leadership and staff motivation skills

• Capability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks in high-pressure situations

• Ability to remain calm and communicate effectively in stressful circumstances

• Proficient with computers and familiar with common software applications

• Excellent interpersonal, time management, project management, and organizational skills

• Knowledgeable in claims administration, case management, and cost containment for Workers’ Compensation

• Willingness to travel overnight and participate in meetings
