Claims Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee both active and litigated Professional Liability claims, which includes tracking, reviewing, analyzing, and keeping Corporate Counsel updated on ongoing matters.

• Support claim investigations and oversee determinations regarding compensability.

• Consult with outside counsel when necessary to review matters.

• Assess claim action plans and overall file quality to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Coordinate with outside counsel and insurance representatives to acquire the latest claim information.

• Analyze and authorize requests for investigation and reserves.

• Ensure adherence to state regulatory rules and requirements.

• Collaborate with medical and legal specialists to achieve claim resolutions.

• Review requests for settlement authority.

• Participate in mediations and trials.

• Conduct regular meetings with Corporate Counsel to evaluate claims and discuss strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in adjusting Professional Liability claims.

• Juris Doctor (JD) is preferred.

• Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of matters.

• Strong understanding of claim handling policies and procedures.

• Knowledge of medical terminology is essential.

• Familiarity with claims across multiple jurisdictions.

• Experience working with a Third-Party Administrator (TPA).

• Proficient in litigation and settlement negotiations.

• Intermediate knowledge of Professional Liability products.

• Ability to utilize available resources and technology to resolve claims efficiently and streamline the claims process.
