Claims Desktop Motor Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Evaluate the feasibility of repair versus total loss utilizing available engineering tools along with established guidelines and procedures.

• Make informed commercial decisions regarding claims.

• Reduce ancillary claim expenditures related to hire, storage, and recovery fees.

• Accurately assess repair costs by authorizing repairs and overseeing the timely payment of accounts.

• Secure high-quality, cost-effective repairs without compromising vehicle safety.

• Generate reports and estimates swiftly and accurately.

• Authorize repairs and assess vehicle values.

• Classify and dispose of salvage in accordance with ABI standards.

• Build and nurture relationships with claims handlers, repairers, and intermediaries.

• Oversee repair work and repairer activities to manage average repair costs and address substandard repair referrals.

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth understanding of motor vehicle accident repair methods.

• Experience in estimating and negotiation.

• VDA ATA AQP Accreditation.

• Comprehensive knowledge of computerized estimation systems, including Audatex and Glassmatix.

• Familiarity with Thatcham Escribe.

• Candidates must pass a standard criminal record check and an insolvency register check.

• Applicants should have a minimum of one year remaining on a Graduate or Post-Study Work visa, if applicable.
