Claims Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee incoming claim notifications and verify that all necessary documents are complete and readable.

• Confirm the presence and clarity of required submission documents.

• Conduct initial claim setup, accurately input data, and assign appropriate claim statuses.

• Perform preliminary analysis of claims submitted by clients, as well as EOBs, invoices, policies, correspondence, and related documents.

• Merge and extract claim documents as necessary.

• Duplicate combined files and rename them in accordance with policies and procedures.

• Enter UB04 data for analysts.

• Transfer claim documents to the Document Management and IBR departments.

• Draft appeal letters and send them back to clients.

• Evaluate client-provided coversheets for accurate reimbursement.

• Adjust the system to reflect accurate reimbursement and savings.

• Escalate challenging claims to the Claim Processing Lead.

• Inform the Claim Coordinator Lead when documents are missing or unclear.

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other security regulations.

• Carry out additional tasks as assigned.

• Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute.

• Strong data entry abilities with a high level of accuracy.

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.

• Capability to work across multiple monitors.

• Quick adaptability to company-specific software.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking capabilities.

• Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills.

• Ability to collaborate within a diverse team and facilitate change across functional and business boundaries.
