This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +5 more states.
• Coordinate, manage, and supervise claims operations across one or more teams.
• Provide guidance, support, and coaching to ensure adherence to regulatory and statutory requirements, as well as technical and customer service best practices.
• Conduct regular reviews of claim files to ensure quality standards are met.
• Monitor and assess statistical metrics and behavioral indicators to evaluate the performance of Claims Representatives through file reviews, audits, reports, and customer complaints.
• Mentor and advise employees regarding their performance.
• Address customer service issues through effective communication and engagement.
• Oversee and assess customer concerns, issues, and satisfaction while anticipating their needs.
• Manage the recruitment and development of employees.
• Identify and implement training and development initiatives to support succession planning.
• Lead meetings with unit management to convey goals and reinforce performance expectations.
• Stay informed about current industry trends and best practices.
• Engage in committees and projects that align with organizational goals and objectives.
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
• 4-6 years of experience in handling Casualty Claims, including litigation experience, is required.
• 1-3 years of supervisory experience is required.
• Strong organizational, planning, and delegation skills are critical.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary.
• Strong interpersonal skills are essential.
• Proven ability to effectively lead change is required.
• A valid driver's license, a satisfactory Department of Motor Vehicles record, and minimum liability insurance as mandated by the state are required.
• Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation from the Insurance Institute of America is preferred.
