This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the strategic leader for intake management within the business area.
• Collaborate with Client Management, Claims Operations, Product & Planning, Configuration, and Technology teams.
• Work alongside Product and Planning to prioritize the Claims backlog.
• Assist in managing intake governance and escalation processes.
• Enhance business requirements, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics.
• Function as the main point of contact between Claims Operations, Product & Planning, Configuration, and Technology teams.
• Collaborate with the Technical Product Owner to represent the customer and business perspective throughout discovery, development, testing, and implementation phases.
• Drive stakeholder alignment, prioritization discussions, and decision-making processes.
• Ensure that backlog items adhere to Definition of Ready standards to facilitate successful delivery outcomes.
• Evaluate operational data, business metrics, and customer feedback to uncover improvement opportunities and gauge outcomes.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities for process enhancements.
• Engage in Agile planning events, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and other team ceremonies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or a related discipline is preferred.
• CSPO, SAFe POPM, or an equivalent Product Owner certification is required.
• Experience in healthcare claims operations, claims systems, or related payer business functions is essential.
• Previous roles as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Product Manager, or similar positions supporting technology-driven business solutions are necessary.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Kanban methodologies along with backlog management practices is required.
• Proven ability to gather requirements, define business value, and convert complex business needs into actionable solutions.
• Excellent skills in stakeholder management, facilitation, communication, and relationship building.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or comparable Agile and Kanban planning and collaboration tools is expected.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are essential.
• Experience in claims adjudication, benefit configuration, provider reimbursement, or healthcare technology platforms is preferred.
• Background in supporting large-scale operational, system, or transformation initiatives is advantageous.
• For remote work, a cable broadband or fiber optic internet connection with a minimum of 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload speed is required.
