Claims Advocate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage claims from initiation to resolution across various coverage areas including public and private Directors and Officers Liability, Errors and Omissions, Employment Practices Liability, Cyber and Technology Errors and Omissions, Fiduciary Liability, Crime, and Kidnap and Ransom.

• Promptly and accurately report new claims and circumstances while proactively recognizing potential coverage issues.

• Secure insurer approval for legal counsel retention and settlements.

• Evaluate coverage letters provided by insurers.

• Coordinate the distribution of insurer coverage positions and status updates.

• Organize and lead client meetings and conference calls with insurers.

• Maintain invoice tracking and reconcile invoices according to client policy retention.

• Facilitate the reimbursement of payments from insurers to clients.

• Keep electronic claim files current and organized.

• Review loss runs and acquire status updates to ensure timely and accurate file management.

• Raise claim and coverage concerns to CAC leadership.

• Build and sustain professional relationships with clients and insurer claim representatives.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree is required (paralegal certification is an asset).

• 2-5 years of relevant experience is preferred.

• Excellent multitasking and time management abilities.

• Strong communication and relationship management skills.

• Proficient analytical skills.

• Capability to engage with and present confidently to both external and internal clients.

• Ability to identify client needs and propose effective solutions.

• Skill in setting realistic client expectations and delivering results in a time-sensitive setting.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• High level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
