Claims Advocate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee, investigate, and resolve claims related to commercial general liability property damage, including assessing coverage, liability, and damages, and settling claims within designated authority limits.

• Propose final resolutions for assigned cases that exceed authority to local claims management.

• Assess insurance coverage utilizing claim reports, insurance policies, investigations, relevant statutes, and legal precedents.

• Interact with policyholders, witnesses, and claimants to collect necessary claim information.

• Delegate tasks to auxiliary resources as needed and provide guidance on the appropriate course of action.

• Address written and telephone inquiries, including status updates.

• Adhere to statutory and regulatory requirements across relevant jurisdictions.

• Achieve quality assurance standards and performance objectives.

• Handle a substantial volume of claims with varying complexities while maintaining quality and performance standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in claims handling, including coverage and liability, or related experience.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Strong interpersonal, analytical, investigative, and negotiation skills.

• Exceptional customer service capabilities, emphasizing listening and empathy.

• Proficiency in Mac systems, including Google and Microsoft applications.

• Competencies, skills, and knowledge typically acquired through a Bachelor's degree.

• Must possess, or be able to quickly obtain, a Texas Independent Adjuster License.

• Experience with Commercial General Liability claims is preferred.

• Ability to work enthusiastically as part of a remote team.

• Self-motivated, dependable, adaptable to change, and able to thrive in uncertain situations.
