Claims Advocate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage claims from initiation to resolution for both public and private sectors including Directors and Officers Liability, Errors and Omissions, Employment Practices Liability, Cyber and Technology Errors and Omissions, Fiduciary Liability, Crime, and Kidnap and Ransom.

• Promptly and accurately report new claims and circumstances while actively identifying potential coverage concerns.

• Secure insurer approval for the retention of counsel and settlements.

• Analyze coverage letters received from insurers.

• Facilitate the distribution of insurer coverage positions and provide status updates.

• Organize and lead client meetings and conference calls with insurers.

• Maintain invoice trackers and reconcile invoices with client policy retention.

• Assist with insurer reimbursement payments to clients.

• Keep electronic claim files current and organized.

• Review loss runs and obtain timely status updates for accurate file maintenance.

• Elevate claim and coverage issues to CAC leadership.

• Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with clients and insurer claim representatives.

• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree is required (paralegal certification is an asset).

• Preferred 2-5 years of relevant work experience.

• Excellent multitasking and time management abilities.

• Strong communication and relationship management skills.

• Proficient analytical skills.

• Capability to engage with and confidently present to both external and internal clients.

• Skill in identifying client needs and offering effective solutions.

• Ability to set realistic expectations for clients and deliver results in a time-sensitive manner.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• High degree of professionalism and a commitment to confidentiality.
