This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Act as a point of contact among clients, claimants, producers, and carriers regarding all claim-related issues.
• Proactively advocate for clients to achieve the best possible claim outcomes while safeguarding their interests by minimizing overall exposure.
• Oversee all facets of claims management, which includes assessing coverage, inputting claims into the agency management system, drafting loss notices, reporting claims to carriers, tracking claim progress, updating insured parties and producers, and maintaining claim documentation.
• Facilitate communication between clients and insurers to discuss claims and coverage, assisting in the resolution of coverage disputes, including on-site visits when necessary.
• Assist in conducting needs assessments to define reporting procedures and service commitments.
• Offer technical expertise to clients regarding claim inquiries.
• Generate claim status reports and review and maintain claim files diligently.
• Organize and engage in formal claims reviews, stewardship meetings, and client presentations.
• Notify producers and servicing teams about accounts that have a negative claim history.
• Recognize trends in claims and collaborate with Risk and Safety teams to devise resolutions.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and operational efficiency.
• Provide technical assistance to other departments within C3 Risk & Insurance Services.
• Stay updated on insurance contracts and industry developments through seminars, workshops, and training programs.
• Conduct business in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in claims-related roles.
• Preferably experienced in handling General Liability, Auto, or Property claims.
• Possession of an active P&C license or Claims Certification.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Highly organized.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Quick learner when it comes to unfamiliar technology.
• A team-oriented mindset and readiness to take on additional tasks.
• Willingness and ability to travel to client locations, including occasional overnight trips out of state.
• A college degree is not mandatory; an insurance designation is a plus.
