This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Investigate, evaluate, and oversee insurance claims from initial notification to final resolution.
• Review claims for accuracy, completeness, eligibility for coverage, and adherence to policy terms.
• Recommend approval, denial, or escalation of claims as necessary.
• Analyze available data to ascertain liability and evaluate risk exposure.
• Manage complex and high-value claims within the scope of delegated authority.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
• Collaborate with managers to pinpoint opportunities for process enhancement and operational efficiency.
• Participate in quarterly leadership evaluations.
• Conduct monthly audits of files and quality assessments.
• Identify trends and implement corrective action strategies.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, critical thinking, innovation, and accountability.
• Monitor performance metrics and aid in achieving departmental, corporate, and provincial regulatory goals.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and ensure fair, timely settlements.
• Proficiency in both French and English, in spoken and written form.
• A valid and active personal lines adjuster license issued by the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF).
• At least three (3) years of experience in automobile claims adjustment.
• Strong understanding of insurance policies, claims investigations, and settlement practices.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and applications functioning in a Windows environment.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a keen focus on detail and accuracy.
• Capacity to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced, and changing environment.
• Team-oriented mindset with a strong dedication to collaboration and customer satisfaction.
• Experience managing complex or escalated claims.
• Ability to act as a mentor, coach, and technical resource for peers.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
