This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Collaborate internally with the Business Owner and externally with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers as needed.
• Generate precise estimates and quotations for cladding and construction projects based on plans, drawings, photographs, scopes of work, and other project documents, even when information is lacking.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and compute costs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors, inclusive of suitable wastage allowances.
• Spot discrepancies or inconsistencies, raise clarifying questions, and create clear breakdowns of assumptions, inclusions, and exclusions.
• Source and evaluate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors; keep organized records of quotations and pricing assumptions.
• Interact with subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and project stakeholders to clarify scopes, material needs, and pricing details.
• Handle multiple quotations concurrently, track deadlines, and provide regular progress updates to the business owner.
• Aid in payroll preparation by gathering and verifying timesheets, entering approved hours, and maintaining precise payroll records.
• Offer general administrative support by organizing files, updating registers and trackers, assisting with correspondence, and developing templates and checklists.
• When applicable, assist with basic CAD mark-ups, drawing updates, and organized drawing files to facilitate quoting.
• As the position evolves, assist with project scheduling, procurement tracking, variation management, and construction administration.
• At least 3 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably within New Zealand or Australia.
• Capability to prepare estimates from diverse and incomplete project documentation.
• Experience with quantity take-offs, construction cost calculations, and subcontractor pricing.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of CostX or similar estimating software is essential.
• Competence in Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with PDF measurement and document management tools.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently across stakeholders.
• High numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and capacity to manage competing deadlines independently.
• Readiness to support payroll and administrative tasks when necessary.
• A qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred; equivalent practical experience will be considered.
• Experience in estimating commercial cladding, façade, or roofing projects is a plus.
• Knowledge of cladding systems, materials, and installation processes is advantageous.
• Familiarity with New Zealand or Australian construction suppliers and pricing is beneficial.
• CAD or AutoCAD skills are a plus, though not mandatory.
• Background in payroll or construction administration is desirable.
• Basic project coordination experience is an advantage.
