This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Accurately prepare and format pleadings, motions, declarations, and various court filings in compliance with relevant regulations.
• Complete Judicial Council forms along with other forms frequently utilized in California civil litigation.
• Schedule, monitor, and proactively manage litigation deadlines, court dates, discovery due dates, and other significant case milestones.
• Prepare discovery documents and assist attorneys with the drafting, organizing, and finalizing of discovery responses.
• Create demand letters, legal correspondence, and additional documents related to cases.
• Keep case files, medical records, billing summaries, exhibits, and supporting documentation well-organized.
• Prepare and arrange documents and exhibits for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
• Conduct client interviews and oversee the collection of documents and records.
• Engage in professional communication with clients, opposing counsel, courts, medical providers, insurance adjusters, experts, and vendors.
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation and case strategy while anticipating future needs within a busy caseload.
• Robust professional experience in supporting civil litigation matters.
• Practical understanding of civil litigation procedures and the lifecycle of litigated cases.
• Previous experience in personal injury law.
• Direct experience in preparing pleadings, motions, declarations, discovery documents, and court filings.
• Proven ability to calendar and track litigation deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, courts, and external parties.
• Capability to work proactively, independently, and with meticulous attention to detail across multiple active cases.
• Prior experience as a legal assistant, litigation assistant, or paralegal within a civil litigation environment.
• Familiarity with California civil litigation and Judicial Council forms.
• Experience in supporting hearings, depositions, and trial preparations.
• Proficiency in Spanish.
• Experience utilizing Google Drive and digital legal document management systems.
