Civil Litigation Defense Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.

📋 Description

• Manage a substantial caseload independently from the initial intake through to trial or resolution.

• Conduct and defend depositions involving experts, key witnesses, corporate representatives, and plaintiffs.

• Draft and argue dispositive motions, including motions for summary judgment (MSJs) and demurrers, as well as substantive pre-trial motions.

• Act as first or second chair in trials, arbitrations, and administrative hearings.

• Oversee client management, which includes risk assessment and strategy formulation with institutional clients and insurers.

• Handle complex litigation in areas such as public entity and municipal defense, employment litigation, general and professional liability, medical malpractice, elder care, and/or appellate and business litigation.

• Assume ownership of intricate cases and engage directly in trial responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

• 4–10 years of relevant civil litigation experience, with a preference for candidates with a defense background.

• Active license in good standing with the Nevada State Bar.

• Documented experience in taking and defending expert depositions and managing court appearances autonomously.

• Strong skills in legal analysis, legal writing, and oral advocacy.

• Demonstrated interest or background in civil litigation, insurance defense, or public entity work.

• A self-driven team player who excels in a collaborative, trial-oriented environment.
