Civil Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist in enhancing civil estimating procedures and templates to boost precision and efficiency.

• Create comprehensive civil cost estimates for solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) initiatives.

• Manage estimating tools, historical cost data, and productivity assumptions.

• Prepare project cost estimates that align with RFP specifications for utility-scale renewable energy initiatives.

• Work collaboratively with business development, engineering, and project delivery teams to assess opportunities and optimize expenses.

• Identify potential project risks and aid in developing mitigation strategies.

• Engage in pre-bid meetings, client interactions, and estimate review sessions.

• Conduct site visits as necessary and document findings to enhance estimate quality and project planning.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in heavy civil construction, estimating, construction management, and/or project management.

• Proficient in cost estimating methodologies and estimating software such as InEight or comparable platforms.

• Familiarity with takeoff software like Bluebeam, AgTek, or similar tools.

• Strong understanding of earthwork, foundations, roads, drainage, and site development processes.

• Experience in preparing or assisting with project estimates for construction initiatives.

• Background in supporting civil construction projects within commercial, renewable energy, or utility-scale solar sectors.

• Experience collaborating with field and engineering teams to enhance estimating accuracy.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related discipline.

• Experience utilizing generative AI to optimize workflows and improve outcomes.
