Civil Engineer, Permit

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee the permitting process for construction initiatives

• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards

• Collaborate with local governmental bodies

• Optimize permit approval processes to maintain project timelines

• Analyze and interpret technical documents in accordance with Department of Buildings procedures and guidelines

• Share relevant work experience, previous role responsibilities, and motivation for remote opportunities in the U.S. during the screening process

• Strong proficiency in English

• Advanced level of English is necessary

• Capable of effectively interpreting and analyzing technical documents

• Maintain a professional demeanor and ethical conduct

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

• Demonstrated proactiveness

• Competent in multitasking and transitioning between different tasks effortlessly

• Strong analytical skills for addressing complex challenges

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

• Capable of keeping meticulous records of tasks, notes, and process updates

• Skilled in identifying pain points, bottlenecks, scope creep, and opportunities for process enhancement

• Proficient in setting, establishing, and prioritizing tasks

• Ability to adhere to orders or specific instructions as required

• Committed to following through on tasks until completion

• Experience in engineering projects, both residential and commercial

• Knowledge of relevant regulations and codes in the U.S. and the Department of Buildings (DOB)

• Must possess a computer (laptop/desktop) with internet connectivity

• Must be comfortable using Hubstaff time-tracking software

• Must be a U.S. citizen or hold a U.S. work permit

• Required to submit a 1.5–2 minute voice note in English during the screening process
