Child Psychologist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in ensuring the quality assurance of mental health care, which includes regular screening practices.

• Enhance access to quality mental health services for unaccompanied children (UAC).

• Strengthen the capacity of behavioral health providers and facilitate referral networks.

• Support monitoring of mental health conditions within UAC populations.

• Conduct site visits and evaluate the needs of mental health services.

• Provide training for staff and stakeholders on trauma-informed care and practices related to child safety.

• Engage in cross-ORR workgroups to ensure adherence to compliance and quality of service.

• Assess appropriate mental health interventions for instances of suspected or confirmed sexual abuse/harassment.

• Review and evaluate protocols for responding to abuse.

• Offer consultation on individual or provider circumstances that indicate risks of inappropriate sexual behavior or unmet mental health needs.

• Be available for on-call/after-hours support.

• Travel approximately 25% to various provider locations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a PhD or PsyD along with an active clinical or counseling license.

• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in clinical or public health settings.

• Specialized knowledge in trauma, child development, and behavioral risk assessment.

• Must be able to obtain and sustain a Public Trust Clearance.

• Familiarity with migrant/refugee issues, especially those pertaining to children (preferred).

• Experience with a refugee program (preferred).

• Previous work experience in a consulting environment (preferred).

• Capability to foster and contribute to an equitable and inclusive organizational culture and environment.

• Proficiency in managing competing priorities, perspectives, and stakeholder requirements.

• Outstanding verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.

• Proven professionalism, judgment, discretion, tact, and diplomacy.
