Child Development Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Perform developmental evaluations.

• Deliver child development services using the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon).

• Adhere to each child's Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).

• Collaborate with families to create strategies that help each child achieve specific developmental objectives.

• Implement a family-centered parent coaching strategy to enhance caregivers' confidence and skills, ensuring progress is generalized.

• Offer services in children's natural settings, such as family homes, daycare facilities, and other community locations.

• Provide virtual services.

• Conduct re-assessments and prepare progress reports, typically on a bi-annual basis.

• Uphold the confidentiality of information regarding children and families in compliance with HIPAA and/or state/federal regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's degree is required for Orange County in child development, early childhood education, teaching, or a related field, or a special education teaching credential.

• Experience in early intervention is preferred.

• Experience in home-based service delivery is preferred.

• Strong interpersonal skills are essential.

• Capability to provide services to children with developmental needs from birth to three years of age.

• Ability to adhere to Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs).

• Competence in maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and/or state/federal regulations.
