Chief Technology Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establish the technology strategy, encompassing architecture, build-vs-buy choices, platform standards, and suitable AI implementations.

• Direct and organize a distributed engineering and data team of approximately ten members based in Latin America.

• Execute the roadmap and enhance the scalability of the platform.

• Finalize the transition from legacy systems and reinforce the platform's reliability.

• Ensure that the business can amplify transaction volume without engineering becoming a limiting factor.

• Develop the AI infrastructure for qualification, outreach, and internal operations, transforming it into a sustainable competitive edge.

• Oversee security, access governance, vendor management, monitoring, documentation, and operational continuity.

• Participate as a member of the Executive Committee.

• Collaborate with the CEO and leaders in sales, marketing, and operations to align business requirements with technology execution.

• Provide valuable input on product sequencing, while the CEO maintains product direction.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of experience in technology, with progressive leadership roles, including positions as a CTO, VP of Engineering, or Head of Technology.

• Proven experience in scaling a team and system from a functional yet fragile state to a reliable, high-volume operation.

• Sufficient technical depth to comprehend architecture, question design choices, and assess vendors.

• Significant expertise in AI-driven architecture, cloud infrastructure, GCP, APIs, integrations, and data.

• Capability to identify gaps in architecture, tooling, security posture, and processes.

• Experience in leading remote, distributed, and international teams.

• Comfort in dealing with ambiguity, limited resources, and making decisions based on incomplete information.

• Ability to align technical investments with revenue and justify them to the CEO.

• Preferred but not mandatory: experience in real estate, proptech, or fintech; managing a US-based company with a LatAm engineering team; proficiency in Spanish.
