Chief Information Officer, CIO

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Luxembourg.

📋 Description

• Lead the technology strategy and digital transformation initiatives for the organization based in Luxembourg.

• Supervise IT, operations, and technology-related projects to ensure they align with business objectives.

• Manage and cultivate multidisciplinary teams across technology and operational domains.

• Propel the evolution, optimization, and migration of corporate systems and technology platforms.

• Define and oversee technology governance, security, and operational resilience frameworks.

• Collaborate with business leaders to pinpoint opportunities for innovation and process enhancement.

• Maintain relationships with technology partners and vendors, including negotiating strategic agreements.

• Support business areas related to financial markets, trading, brokerage, fund distribution, and investment services.

• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to the banking sector.

• Report to the Country General Management team and engage closely with senior stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 20 years of experience in technology leadership positions within banking, financial services, or capital markets sectors.

• Strong expertise in financial technology and digital transformation initiatives.

• Demonstrated experience in managing IT and operations teams.

• In-depth understanding of securities markets, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and foreign exchange.

• Knowledge of trading, clearing, settlement, and custody systems.

• Experience with fund distribution platforms and regulated financial environments.

• Familiarity with MiFID II and associated financial regulations.

• Knowledge of emerging technologies such as blockchain and ESG-related initiatives is highly regarded.

• Proficiency in English and Spanish.

• Residence in Luxembourg or a willingness to relocate.
