Chief Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the senior technical authority and trusted advisor for network operations, engineering teams, and customer leadership.

• Design and architect scalable, secure voice, video, wireless, and data networks along with their associated management systems.

• Lead the development of High-Level and Low-Level Designs (HLD/LLD).

• Deploy and integrate Cisco enterprise and data center technologies.

• Configure and support advanced routing and switching technologies.

• Serve as the primary technical advisor to customer leadership.

• Create and maintain the enterprise technical strategy and modernization roadmap.

• Conduct architectural reviews, technical decision-making boards, and risk assessments.

• Assess and recommend technologies that enhance reliability, security, scalability, and operational efficiency.

• Spearhead modernization, automation, and continuous improvement efforts.

• Validate technical strategies through hands-on analysis, engineering reviews, and proof-of-concept evaluations.

• Collaborate with operations teams to improve service delivery and technical implementation.

• Lead root cause analysis for intricate enterprise-level challenges.

• Mentor engineering and operations personnel to elevate technical standards.

• Align technology investments with mission objectives and stakeholder priorities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Secret clearance is mandatory, and candidates must currently possess it.

• US citizenship is a requirement.

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for formal education.

• At least 10 years of experience in enterprise IT engineering and architecture.

• Proven experience in designing and architecting scalable, secure voice, video, wireless, and data communication networks.

• Experience in leading high-level and low-level network designs (HLD/LLD).

• Familiarity with deploying and integrating Cisco-based enterprise and data center solutions.

• Proficient in configuring and supporting BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VXLAN, and EVPN.

• Strong knowledge of network monitoring and management systems such as Cisco Catalyst Center and SolarWinds.

• Comprehensive understanding of enterprise infrastructure, systems integration, security, and compliance.

• Knowledge of network modeling, digital twin, and Model-based System Engineering (MBSE).

• Experience in assessing technical risks and formulating strategic solutions.
