Chief Product and Technology Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Development of the product roadmap and its execution across Product, Engineering, and Transmission Planning.

• Conversion of insights from customers, markets, and founders into product strategy, priorities, and execution plans.

• Establishing the operational rhythm for product development: planning roadmaps, conducting product reviews, execution assessments, and implementing customer feedback loops.

• Supervision and mentoring of Product Leads, VP of Engineering, and VP of Transmission Planning.

• Facilitating cross-functional decision-making that considers customer value, technical feasibility, domain accuracy, speed, and business impact.

• Ensuring product quality, usability, reliability, and overall customer impact.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive senior product or technical leadership experience in intricate B2B software environments.

• Strong product judgment coupled with a proven track record of execution: capable of transforming ambiguity into actionable plans, designated owners, milestones, and delivered products.

• Ability to rapidly assimilate information in a highly specialized and complex domain.

• Experience in managing product teams, engineering teams, or cross-functional technical groups.

• Exceptional communication and leadership skills.

• Comfort in collaborating closely with founders while progressively assuming ownership of product strategy and roadmap.

• Previous role as VP Product / CPO in a technical B2B SaaS organization.

• General Manager of a complex technical product line.

• Product leader with experience managing a team or product function from start to finish.

• Former technical or product founder who has transitioned into executive leadership.

• Additional consideration for experience in energy, grid infrastructure, climate, utilities, transmission, interconnection, or power markets.
