Chief Principal Software Engineer – Cloud

📋 Description

• Oversee the architecture for the connected vehicle Azure cloud platform, encompassing backend, data, web portal, and mobile applications.

• Drive design choices that enhance scalability, reliability, security, performance, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

• Spearhead hands-on development of cloud-native services, APIs, event-driven architectures, and data platforms.

• Offer technical direction to the engineering team.

• Set architecture standards, coding conventions, and design patterns.

• Mentor engineers and promote a culture of continuous learning.

• Collaborate closely with embedded engineers and the product owner.

• Eliminate technical obstacles and assist the team in meeting sprint commitments.

• Foster ongoing enhancements in performance, security, and cost management.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Over 8 years of experience in developing backend software and APIs for cloud-native applications.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, .NET Core, or comparable languages.

• Familiarity with Azure cloud technologies, including Azure Functions, Event Grid Namespace, Event Hub Namespace, Azure Web PubSub, Azure Communication Service, and Azure Service Bus.

• Experience in designing cloud data stores such as ADX, SQL, time-series data, CosmosDB, and Redis.

• Knowledge of event-driven architecture, messaging patterns, and real-time data processing.

• Background in building connected vehicle, automotive, industrial IoT, or telematics platforms.

• Experience in managing and optimizing Azure cloud costs.

• Proficiency in deploying containerized services, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code tools like Docker, Azure Container Apps, GitHub Actions, and Terraform Enterprise.

• Expertise in designing secure, observable cloud services using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, and best practices in cloud security.

• Strong skills in collaboration, problem-solving, and communication.

• Demonstrated ability to excel in a startup-like environment, lead through uncertainty, mentor engineers, and tackle technical challenges.
