This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.
• Collaborate with the VP of Business Applications and the VP of Digital Employee Experience on strategic initiatives.
• Convert IT strategy from both portfolios into executable roadmaps, plans, and organizational commitments.
• Provide counsel to VP leaders on organizational choices, planning trade-offs, and setting priorities.
• Discover opportunities for alignment, synergy, and shared execution across both entities.
• Represent the interests of VP leadership in cross-functional meetings, planning sessions, and executive evaluations.
• Manage the operational cadence, including leadership rhythms, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), strategic planning cycles, and technology assessments.
• Foster accountability for commitments, deliverables, and milestones across both leadership groups.
• Identify and address operational hurdles while maintaining visibility into initiative portfolios, risks, dependencies, and progress.
• Enhance operational processes spanning both IT organizations.
• Distill complex information into actionable leadership decisions and recommendations.
• Create executive presentations, strategic briefings, and business updates.
• Transform technical and operational content into engaging narratives for business and executive audiences.
• Prepare both VP leaders for high-stakes meetings, technology evaluations, and partner forums.
• Oversee strategic communications to internal teams and business partners.
• Coordinate budget planning, forecasting, expense management, headcount, resource allocation, and workforce planning in collaboration with Finance and HR.
• Assist in resource prioritization decisions and highlight significant budget or resource discrepancies.
• Supervise KPI tracking, reporting, dashboards, and scorecards across both portfolios.
• Identify performance trends, risks, and opportunities while promoting consistent reporting practices.
• Connect Business Applications, Digital Employee Experience, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and Enterprise Architecture.
• Cultivate relationships with Finance, HR, Supply Chain, and Operations.
• Facilitate alignment on shared IT priorities, service commitments, and technology roadmaps.
• Promote organizational health, communication, engagement, inclusion, and continual improvement.
• Lead or co-lead high-priority special projects, transformation initiatives, and strategic workstreams from inception through delivery.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, Finance, or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of progressive experience in IT strategy, IT operations, business operations, chief of staff, or senior program leadership positions.
• Capacity to operate effectively at the VP or executive level within a complex, matrixed organization.
• Ability to manage and balance competing priorities across various stakeholders and organizational contexts simultaneously.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level storytelling and presentation development.
• Strong analytical skills and experience in synthesizing data into strategic recommendations.
• Sound judgment and discretion, with the ability to handle sensitive organizational information responsibly.
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities with composure and clarity in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred experience in a formal Chief of Staff, Senior Director of Strategy, or similar advisory role within an enterprise IT organization.
• Background in technology, manufacturing, semiconductor, or related industries is preferred.
• Familiarity with IT financial management, portfolio planning, and vendor management practices is preferred.
• Experience supporting multiple VP or C-suite leaders concurrently within a global organization is preferred.
• Exposure to IT strategic planning, digital transformation, and organizational change management is preferred.
• Knowledge of ITIL, Agile, or related IT service and delivery frameworks is preferred.
• An MBA or advanced degree is highly preferred.
