This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Serve as the key support to the VP of Operations β collaborating daily to translate strategy into actionable plans while managing tasks that may otherwise be overlooked.
β’ Function as a reliable advisor and sounding board for the VP of Operations, as well as for the CEO and executive team, aiding in strategic discussions, evaluating decisions, and clarifying critical trade-offs.
β’ Safeguard the focus of executives β filter and prioritize information reaching the VP of Operations and CEO, identify bottlenecks early, and ensure the team remains concentrated on the most impactful decisions.
β’ Oversee company planning β facilitate quarterly and annual goal-setting (OKRs), convert these into an actionable operating plan, and define and monitor KPIs and dashboards that ensure accountability for progress.
β’ Collaborate with finance to align targets, headcount, and expenditures with the operating plan, identifying areas where actual performance diverges from the plan.
β’ Manage the company's operational rhythm: executive meetings, weekly stand-ups, reviews β set agendas, document decisions, and ensure all actions are completed.
β’ Lead cross-functional initiatives from start to finish, such as integrating our recent acquisition (Monocle) into our operations and establishing consistent processes company-wide.
β’ Act as a reliable contact point for investors, partners, and vendors β manage these relationships daily to prevent leadership bottlenecks, and oversee board meetings and fundraising from preparation to follow-up.
β’ Tackle significant company-building projects on the horizon β beginning with SOC 2 certification, a crucial milestone for enhancing enterprise trust and larger contracts.
β’ Accelerate our hiring efforts β coordinate interview processes and refine the recruitment strategy as we rapidly expand the team.
β’ Lead special projects across the operations organization β including promoting AI adoption within both technical and non-technical teams.
β’ 3β7+ years of experience in a Chief of Staff, startup operations, business operations, or founderβs-office role at a high-growth company β you have practical insights from doing the work, not just advising.
β’ A proactive operator rather than a consultant β you create structure from chaos and automate to eliminate busywork.
β’ Strong understanding of business and finance β adept at working with models, establishing targets, and analyzing the numbers that inform the plan.
β’ AI-savvy: you instinctively utilize AI tools to enhance efficiency and can promote their use across the team.
β’ Highly organized and systems-oriented, with excellent written communication skills and the ability to manage discussions among senior stakeholders.
β’ Bonus points for experience integrating an acquisition, establishing SOC 2 compliance, or supporting fundraising initiatives.
