Chief Information Security Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee enterprise cybersecurity, security assurance, and technology risk initiatives.

• Design and implement a long-term cybersecurity strategy that aligns with business objectives and risk appetite.

• Establish the security vision, set priorities, and develop policies, standards, and accountability across different functions.

• Ensure the incorporation of security into application development and essential technology capabilities.

• Own the strategy for enterprise security audits and assurance, maintaining continuous preparedness for audits.

• Direct significant healthcare assurance initiatives such as HITRUST, SOC examinations, and audits.

• Act as the primary cybersecurity advisor to the CTO and the executive leadership team.

• Create a consistent security framework across various cloud service providers.

• Ensure a robust incident response and recovery mechanism for security breaches.

• Anticipate future cybersecurity challenges, including those related to AI security and automation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in executive cybersecurity leadership, particularly within the healthcare sector.

• Proven track record in safeguarding PHI and regulated healthcare data within cloud technology frameworks.

• Direct accountability for significant healthcare security audits, certifications, assessments, and regulatory reviews.

• Personal leadership in managing multiple HITRUST and SOC examination cycles.

• Experience in leading security audits and assessments for healthcare clients.

• Background in establishing ongoing audit readiness and automating control monitoring processes.

• Implemented controls for cross-border access to healthcare information that involves sensitive data.

• Experience communicating with boards and executives, including presenting security posture and audit findings.

• Comprehensive knowledge of cloud security, software security, identity management, data protection, security operations, and incident response.

• Demonstrated capability to build and lead high-performing security teams.
