Chief Information Officer – CIO

📋 Description

• Create and implement the organization's information technology roadmap and strategy that aligns with business objectives, growth initiatives, compliance requirements, and operational priorities.

• Act as a senior technology advisor to executive leadership, offering insights on technology investments, digital transformation, cybersecurity threats, infrastructure necessities, and enterprise systems planning.

• Direct the IT department, focusing on team structure, performance expectations, coaching, staffing, project prioritization, and professional development.

• Develop and uphold IT governance practices, standards, policies, procedures, and controls to ensure security, reliability, accountability, and scalable operations.

• Supervise enterprise infrastructure, network operations, cloud services, business applications, telecommunications, hardware, software, and user support services.

• Guarantee that business continuity, disaster recovery, incident response, data backup, and system resiliency plans are created, tested, maintained, and aligned with the organization's risk tolerance.

• Provide executive oversight for the cybersecurity strategy, encompassing risk assessments, security monitoring, access controls, employee awareness, vulnerability management, audit readiness, and responses to security incidents.

• Ensure compliance with relevant privacy, security, healthcare, contractual, and regulatory requirements, safeguarding confidential, proprietary, employee, client, and patient-related information.

• Assess and manage technology vendors, managed service providers, software partners, contracts, service level agreements, and technology-related procurement.

• Develop and oversee the IT operating budget and capital budget, technology roadmap, capital planning, licensing, renewals, inventory control, and cost-control initiatives.

• Offer executive-level leadership and project management for significant system and software implementations, ensuring thorough planning, change management, communication, testing, training, user adoption, and post-implementation evaluation.

• Collaborate with department leaders to pinpoint opportunities for automation, process enhancement, reporting, data integrity, workflow optimization, and improved user experience.

• Investigate and assess technology solutions and investments aligned with business objectives and needs.

• Establish performance metrics and reporting for IT operations, including system uptime, ticket resolution, cybersecurity posture, project status, budget performance, and customer satisfaction.

• Stay informed about emerging technology trends, cybersecurity threats, healthcare technology standards, and best practices that could influence the organization.

• Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and service-oriented IT that balances security, compliance, responsiveness, innovation, and practical business support.

• Represent the technology function in executive, board, client, vendor, audit, compliance, and strategic planning discussions as needed.

• In-depth understanding of healthcare IT systems, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance.

• Familiarity with emerging technologies and their applications in healthcare environments.

• Strong skills in executive leadership, strategic planning, and business partnerships.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to simplify complex technology concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to assess risk, provide sound recommendations, and balance security needs with business objectives.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and decision-making capabilities.

• High levels of integrity, discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and associated business, collaboration, security, and reporting tools.
