Chief Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Define and lead the evolution of JumpCloud’s platform architecture for the next generation.

• Assess the current platform architecture and introduce transformative AI-driven design modifications.

• Advocate for AI both internally and externally, establishing an AI vision that aligns with business objectives.

• Provide guidance to the Head of Engineering and executive leadership on AI advancements and technical strategy.

• Design robust, scalable, and secure AI-driven systems capable of handling vast data volumes and global identity workflows.

• Mentor engineers and engineering managers, enhancing technical skills across teams.

• Perform technical competitive analyses within the AI and Identity/Directory-as-a-Service markets.

• Adjust technical strategies in response to the evolving landscape of AI models, frameworks, and security needs.

• Engage in assigned on-call shifts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of experience in software engineering/architecture.

• A minimum of 4 years focused on deep AI integrations.

• Proven expertise in IAM, Directory-as-a-Service, Zero Trust, or endpoint management sectors.

• Experience in designing, constructing, and maintaining distributed cloud architectures and data pipelines at scale.

• Demonstrated flexibility and capability to adapt architectures for innovative technologies.

• Established experience in technical leadership, mentorship, coaching, and enhancing organizational skills.

• Proficiency in conveying complex technical concepts to the Head of Engineering and C-suite executives.

• Strong capabilities in competitive analysis and monitoring industry trends.

• Fluency in both spoken and written English.

• Must reside in and be authorized to work in India.

• Participation in on-call shifts is required.

• Preferred: experience with Python, Go, Rust, or similar for proof-of-concept developments.

• Preferred: expertise or certifications in AWS, GCP, or Azure AI ecosystems, Kubernetes, and Docker.

• Preferred: knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, AI ethics, and data security principles.

• Preferred: public thought leadership or involvement in open-source communities.

• Preferred: experience in fast-paced startup environments.
