Specialist II Back-End Java/Node Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Act as a technical authority, resolving intricate issues, steering architectural direction, and reducing technical debt.

• Create back-end solutions that prioritize high performance, simplicity, code quality, and enhanced user experience.

• Innovate GenAI solutions tailored for the e-commerce sector, aiming to boost business KPIs.

• Organize and evaluate Proofs of Concept (PoCs) by leveraging new technologies and GenAI models.

• Develop automated tests (unit and E2E), perform code reviews, and implement pair programming methodologies.

• Track usage metrics, error telemetry, and application stability, ensuring accurate tagging and data integrity.

• Design ongoing improvements, pinpoint technical optimization prospects, and maintain up-to-date architecture and system documentation.

• Engage in technical and product decision-making with a sense of ownership, suggesting practical solutions to strategic challenges.

• Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team through open communication, daily teamwork, and a joint focus on problem-solving.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven, hands-on experience in Node.js or Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot for developing scalable, efficient systems.

• Practical experience with the entire automated testing pyramid (unit, integration, and E2E tests).

• Management of code quality using SonarQube.

• Familiarity with relational databases (AWS RDS) and non-relational databases (DocumentDB and DynamoDB).

• Extensive knowledge of the AWS ecosystem, including EC2, Secrets Manager, and ElastiCache for Redis.

• Expertise in distributed and decoupled architectures utilizing Apache Kafka and AWS SQS.

• Development, enhancement, and upkeep of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using GitHub and GitHub Actions.

• Implementation of thorough telemetry, encompassing logs, metrics, and distributed tracing.

• Adoption of Secure Coding practices along with proactive vulnerability and incident management.

• Capability to work independently and collaboratively within agile squads (Scrum/Kanban) across multilingual engineering environments.
