CHECK Team Member

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Engage in a variety of Government interactions as part of the CHECK scheme as well as commercial-level engagements.

• Execute penetration testing across an extensive range of technologies included in the service catalogue.

• Compile findings in technical reports to be presented to clients.

• Detect vulnerabilities and provide practical recommendations for remediation.

• Travel to and work from both client and Wavenet locations as necessary.

• Participate in visits that may require overnight hotel accommodations.

• Collaborate within the Penetration Testing team at Wavenet CyberGuard.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must currently possess CHECK Team Member (CTM) status with a minimum of two years of active experience at this level.

• Hold UK Cyber Security Council (UKCSC) accreditation as a Practitioner Cyber Security Professional (PraCSP) or higher.

• Have prior experience and demonstrable history in delivering IT security engagements.

• Possess a solid understanding of computer networking and Operating Systems, especially *Nix systems.

• Have a strong background and comprehension of cybersecurity.

• Familiarity with penetration testing frameworks and methodologies is essential.

• Exhibit strong client-facing skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues as a team player.

• Proficient grasp of the English language and grammar.

• Capable of producing detailed reports that outline identified vulnerabilities and provide sensible remediation suggestions.

• Demonstrate personal time management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

• Must have existing UK Security Check (SC) clearance as a minimum.

• Ability to obtain and maintain further enhanced security clearance levels as required by the business.

• Lack of a degree will not disqualify an application.

• Desirable: experience with scripting and coding languages.

• Desirable: certifications like Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) and/or familiarity with online cybersecurity training platforms.
