CHECK Team Leader

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee and execute penetration testing projects for Government CHECK scheme, private, and commercial clients.

• Ensure that client deliverables align with the esteemed standards of the consulting and technical testing team.

• Guide and nurture junior members of the technical testing team as needed.

• Assist Account Management with pre-engagement tasks, such as scoping and client communications.

• Conduct quality assurance on reports from consultants prior to client delivery.

• Present and discuss findings with both technical teams and C-Suite executives.

• Generate comprehensive reports detailing discovered vulnerabilities and recommendations for remediation.

• Travel to and work at client and Wavenet locations as necessary, which may include overnight hotel stays.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently certified as a CHECK Team Leader in either the Infrastructure or Web Application disciplines.

• At least two years of recent experience at the CHECK Team Leader level.

• UK Cyber Security Council (UKCSC) accreditation as a Principal Cyber Security Professional (PriCSP) or higher.

• Proven experience in delivering and reporting on various IT security projects.

• Strong understanding of penetration testing frameworks and methodologies.

• Excellent client-facing abilities, including interactions with technical teams and C-Suite members.

• Proficient command of the English language and grammar.

• Capability to produce detailed vulnerability reports with practical remediation suggestions.

• Strong personal time management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

• Current UK Security Check (SC) clearance at a minimum.

• Capacity to obtain and maintain higher levels of enhanced security clearance as necessary.

• Desirable: experience with scripting and coding languages.

• Desirable: OSCP certification and/or experience with online cybersecurity training platforms.

• Desirable: possession of personal transportation.
