Chaplain – Part Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Acts as a messenger and advocate for faith, mission, and purpose.

• Conducts regular brief visits to company worksites (typically weekly) to engage with employees.

• Offers referral services and coordinates specialized assistance.

• May assist in the planning and execution of funerals for employees or their immediate family members.

• Collaborates with companies to provide notifications regarding death and serious injuries.

• May offer post-termination support for employees who have been laid off or terminated.

• Supplies literature and other resources to help employees navigate life challenges.

• Participates in new employee orientation to introduce the Employee Care Service.

• Ability to work effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary team in an interfaith environment.

• Strong listening and interpersonal skills when interacting with clients, employees, and their families.

• Spiritual maturity and a commitment to a Christian lifestyle, along with adherence to MCHAP Ministry values.

• Capacity to engage professionally with diplomacy, patience, and courtesy across diverse groups.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficiency in analyzing information to identify and resolve problems or achieve objectives.

• Competence in using Google Suites, Microsoft Office, or equivalent software.

• Must possess a valid state driver's license and meet state minimum auto insurance requirements.
