This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +1 more state.
• Oversee the creation of change order budgets in collaboration with project management, functional leads, and financial analysts.
• Develop, articulate, and deliver variance analyses for change orders intended for client presentations.
• Monitor and manage change order requests to establish departmental metrics.
• Engage in internal and client discussions.
• Work together with project management, financial analysts, functional leads, and other team members to generate precise and timely change orders.
• Evaluate changes in budget assumptions and pinpoint information gaps, discrepancies, and specific service requirements.
• Communicate with project teams and stakeholders to facilitate the prompt and accurate delivery of change orders.
• Organize and lead alignment calls regarding change orders.
• Draft, revise, and tailor change order documentation, encompassing strategic messaging, assumptions, budget summaries, resourcing adjustments, and financial stipulations.
• Integrate vendor and partner change orders into the primary change order documentation.
• Confirm the accuracy of assumptions, processes, modifications to agreements, resourcing updates, timeline adjustments, and changes related to country/site/patient aspects.
• Utilize financial formulas, conduct cross-checks, and perform formula reviews and reasonable testing.
• Minimal travel required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in science, finance/accounting, or a relevant business discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in preparing proposals and/or change orders utilizing an Excel-based costing tool and crafting change order/contract documents.
• Proficient understanding of project budgets and financial analysis.
• Advanced Excel capabilities with a keen eye for detail.
• Familiarity with the clinical trial project lifecycle and the impact of assumption changes on costing, budgets, and financial outcomes.
• Strong skills in Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Solid financial acumen.
• Capacity to handle multiple assignments with diverse tasks.
• Quick learning ability.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
• Competence in building relationships across the organization.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
• MBA is preferred.
• Experience in the CRO industry is preferred.
