CFO, Business Advisor, VP of Finance, Director of Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +12 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as the financial leader and advisor for approximately 30 law firms.

• Conduct discovery calls with potential clients and enhance reputation within the HTM community.

• Analyze financial statements, investigate inconsistencies, and uncover opportunities.

• Develop financial models, budgets, forecasts, cash flow strategies, and KPI dashboards.

• Provide guidance to law firm owners regarding pricing, margins, recruitment, and growth strategies.

• Travel to U.S. events a few times annually for training and networking with clients.

• Assist solo and small law firm owners in building more profitable enterprises.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of finance leadership experience in roles such as CFO, VP of Finance, Director of Finance, Director of FP&A, or similar positions.

• Experience in managing multiple client relationships concurrently or balancing various business lines, divisions, or geographic areas in an internal leadership capacity.

• Practical experience in reviewing financial statements, constructing models and forecasts, and translating financial analysis into actionable advice.

• Proven track record of direct collaboration with owners, founders, or senior executives.

• Strong skills in analysis, modeling, forecasting, and cash flow management.

• Demonstrated examples of enhancing profitability, pricing, or margins.

• Ability to communicate clearly, translating financial concepts into practical recommendations.

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent leadership experience is required.

• Willingness to participate in a brief, hands-on working session during the interview process.

• Candidates must reside in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, or Washington.

• Applicants must have authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

• Experience in professional services is highly preferred.

• Background in a startup or entrepreneur-focused environment is a significant advantage.

• Profit First certification is also a strong plus.
