Certified Peer Recovery Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Act as role models for individuals experiencing substance-related challenges and those at various stages of recovery.

• Adhere to Substance Use Disorder Program guidelines to plan care, evaluate client needs, and perform screenings.

• Direct clients to appropriate resources.

• Collaborate with the Substance Use Disorder Program team, primary care providers, managed care organizations, and community agencies.

• Assess individual member needs and document interventions based on relationships and evaluations.

• Offer support to members in diverse settings and assist with support groups as required.

• Contribute to case management meetings to ensure a collaborative approach for each member.

• Complete documentation for member interactions, cancellations, and care plans in accordance with organizational policies.

• Communicate professionally with members, families, physicians, community agencies, agency leadership, and office staff.

• Adhere to the chain of command when communicating concerns or recommendations.

• Meet established goals/Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

• Represent and advocate for Mindoula and the Substance Use Disorder program through participation in community and professional organizations and outreach activities.

• Engage in timely conflict resolution, treating all individuals fairly and with respect.

• Support team members in fulfilling their responsibilities.

• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and processes.

• Encourage responsible and ethical management of Mindoula's resources.

• Maintain excellent punctuality and attendance during working hours.

• Collaborate with the enrollment team to increase member census and identify eligible members for program enrollment.

• Execute additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fully certified as a Peer Support Specialist in Washington state.

• Successfully completed a recovery program.

• Compassionate and caring, with a strong desire to help individuals facing substance-related challenges make positive changes in their lives.

• Excellent organizational abilities.

• Strong problem-solving skills.

• Capacity to primarily work from home with occasional community-based work (approximately 20% of the time) as necessary.
