This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a Vitamin category specialist by examining data to deliver tools, narratives, and suggestions aimed at expanding the VMS category, which includes assortment, shelving, and competitive analysis.
• Propel accelerated growth across VMS operating companies by utilizing data and insights to inform strategic initiatives.
• Offer national channel recommendations regarding shelving and assortment for all clients.
• Manage inputs for Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews as well as Monthly Planning Sessions, ensuring consistency across syndicated scorecards.
• Assist with strategic initiatives and growth planning alongside key retailers, such as ASP and JBP.
• Provide support to the Category Strategy Senior Director with innovation efforts, including market sizing, category evaluation, and opportunity analysis in collaboration with Brand Innovation Teams.
• Aid in post-launch Brand Team activities related to shelving positioning and competitor launches.
• Collaborate with the Category Strategy Senior Director to pinpoint national selling materials and identify growth prospects for both internal and external projects.
• Own the Category Growth Story, Segment 101s, and National Sales Toolkit/Meeting Category materials with assistance from a Senior Associate.
• Conduct ad hoc deep dives into category dynamics, channel strategies, and consumer shopping behaviors.
• Share insights on consumer buying behavior with operating companies to shape strategy.
• Report directly to the Category Strategy Senior Director.
• 3-10 years of experience in Category Management and/or Sales Analytics.
• Capability to recognize trends, issues, or narratives within various data sources and translate them into insights for actionable growth.
• Experience in Category Management with a focus on developing comprehensive recommendations for national execution across all classes of trade, including assortment, shelving, category growth narratives, brand selling stories, and overarching trends.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and uncover growth opportunities with key retailers and bring those to fruition.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills that highlight key actionable insights and 'so what' conclusions.
• Ability to provide and accept constructive feedback.
• Proficiency in using syndicated databases, Microsoft Suite tools, and Power BI (IRI, Nielsen, Numerator).
• Experience in creating, validating, and presenting shelf recommendations.
• A strong passion for sales and a desire to develop a transformative brand.
• Familiarity with collaborating with retailers across all trade classes, especially Amazon, Mass, and Club channels.
• Experience in cross-functional collaboration, particularly with Brand/Innovation, Consumer Insights, Category Development, and Field Sales.
• Background in high-performance field organizations, sales planning, and broker networks.
• Highly organized, analytical, detail-oriented, and self-driven.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
