Case Manager – Worker's Compensation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee a designated caseload of California workers' compensation claims from initial intake to final resolution.

• Conduct audits on cases at every phase of the California workers' compensation process and establish clear, actionable next steps.

• Compile and maintain comprehensive case summaries.

• Calculate temporary disability and permanent disability amounts, including PD ratings and apportionment.

• Review QME/AME reports, assess whether each report is favorable or unfavorable, and determine the appropriate subsequent actions.

• Identify cases that are ready for settlement and escalate them to the relevant team.

• Collaborate directly with defense attorneys and claims adjusters to ensure the progress of cases.

• Follow up on any delays and escalate issues as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience managing California workers' compensation cases (applicant side preferred).

• Solid understanding of the California workers' compensation process from intake to resolution.

• Proficiency in calculating temporary disability (TD) and permanent disability (PD), including PD ratings and apportionment.

• Experience in reviewing and assessing QME/AME reports.

• Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to create clear and thorough case summaries.

• Comfortable communicating with defense attorneys and claims adjusters.

• Highly organized with the capacity to manage a full caseload and adhere to deadlines.

• Previous experience as a case manager, senior paralegal, or hearing representative at a workers' compensation law firm (preferred).

• Knowledge of EAMS and the California PD Rating Schedule (preferred).

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).
