This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +9 more states.
• Offer daily guidance, coaching, and support to designated team members.
• Act as a readily available resource through Teams and various firm communication channels.
• Conduct frequent one-on-one meetings to assess performance, set priorities, discuss development needs, and address concerns.
• Evaluate workloads, deadlines, and case progress to pinpoint delays, risks, or areas needing support.
• Perform weekly file audits and deliver clear, job-related feedback.
• Oversee the quality and precision of case notes, client communications, medical treatment documentation, insurance information, case grading, and file development.
• Assist team members in balancing competing demands while ensuring accountability for established workflows and deadlines.
• Handle routine client, carrier, workflow, and team escalations.
• Swiftly escalate legal questions, significant case risks, missed deadlines, employee relations issues, and matters requiring higher authority.
• Collaborate with attorneys, department leadership, HR, and other supporting departments to address issues and uphold consistent operations.
• Facilitate training, onboarding, knowledge sharing, and ongoing development for Case Managers and supporting team members.
• Identify persistent workflow challenges and suggest effective process improvements.
• Maintain a strategically reduced caseload while meeting the same quality, documentation, and client service expectations required of the Case Manager role.
• A minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in personal injury case management or pre-litigation is preferred.
• Prior experience in leadership, mentoring, training, auditing, or providing quality oversight is preferred.
• Proven ability to manage a personal caseload accurately and adhere to client contact, documentation, and case progression standards.
• Familiarity with personal injury case flow, medical treatment, liability, insurance coverage, damages documentation, and common escalation points.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the capability to provide respectful and constructive feedback.
• Ability to analyze reports and file activities, identify trends, prioritize risks, and follow through with corrective actions.
• Proficiency in SmartAdvocate, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office, and related case management tools, or the capability to learn them rapidly.
• High level of organization, reliability, discretion, sound judgment, and accountability.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; further education or relevant professional training is preferred.
