This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver tailored support to patients and caregivers dealing with complex and uncommon medical conditions.
• Collaborate directly with patients and caregivers to facilitate their access to PTC products.
• Cultivate relationships with patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals (HCPs), patient engagement teams, and the sales department to gather and share information while coordinating patient care.
• Address issues promptly to assist patients and caregivers in gaining access to therapy and ensuring adherence.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders while safeguarding the confidentiality of patient health information and adhering to relevant laws and regulations.
• Navigate the CRM system effectively and familiarize yourself with internal business protocols and processes.
• Report Adverse Events and Product Quality Complaints as necessary.
• Comply with PTC’s Standard Operating Procedures and Business Rules.
• Analyze patient insurance, prescription, and other healthcare-related documentation.
• Manage all aspects of patient cases and ensure timely and professional follow-ups.
• Execute clerical and administrative tasks such as mailing and faxing.
• Maintain expertise in orphan/rare diseases, encompassing conditions, treatments, patient/caregiver communities, and related activities/events.
• Utilize your expertise to enhance patient outcomes positively.
• Report directly to the Senior Manager of Patient Services.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 10%.
• Bachelor’s degree with 3 to 5 years of experience in Case Management or an equivalent combination of education and experience within the orphan/rare disease biotech environment.
• Experience in rare diseases is mandatory.
• Background in Case Management (or a related field) showcasing strong problem-solving and solution-oriented skills.
• Ability to anticipate patient needs and respond swiftly, flexibly, and creatively to address challenges.
• Capability to operate independently as well as collaboratively within a team comprising both internal and external members.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, including the capacity to handle and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
• Quick and accurate data entry skills into CRM systems.
• Familiarity with pharmacy billing, prior authorization processes, appeals, and peer-to-peer reviews.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is advantageous.
• Knowledge or certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred.
• Experience in HCP Office Management is preferred.
• Background working with Sales Representatives is preferred.
• Preferably holds Case Management experience in a rare disease context.
• Registered Dietitian License is preferred but not mandatory.
