Case Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Take responsibility for assigned personal injury cases from the initial intake through to settlement and final case closure.

• Initiate insurance claims, liaise with carriers, and verify or confirm relevant policy limits.

• Coordinate medical treatments and assist clients in connecting with suitable providers or specialists.

• Oversee treatment progress and manage cases while being mindful of available insurance coverage and policy limits.

• Request, collect, monitor, and review medical records, bills, insurance documents, and other essential case materials.

• Identify necessary next steps for each file and ensure cases advance without unnecessary delays.

• Maintain communication with clients, medical providers, insurance representatives, and internal team members.

• Prepare cases for demand by organizing documentation and aiding in or drafting demand packages and letters.

• Facilitate the settlement process, including policy-limit tenders, and prepare files for closure.

• Assist with lien reductions as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated hands-on experience in U.S. personal injury pre-litigation case management.

• Strong understanding of the complete personal injury pre-litigation lifecycle, with a preference for candidates having 3 or more years of experience.

• Proven capability to independently initiate, develop, progress, settle, and finalize personal injury cases.

• Experience in opening insurance claims, assessing coverage, and confirming or verifying policy limits.

• Solid knowledge of medical treatment coordination, medical records and bills, and ongoing case management.

• Experience in preparing personal injury cases for demand, which includes organizing documentation and assisting with or drafting demand packages.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the reliability and judgment to work autonomously with minimal supervision.

• Experience in negotiating or assisting with lien reductions (preferred).

• Familiarity with Clio or another legal case management platform (preferred).

• Experience in managing policy-limit tenders and settlement documentation (preferred).
