This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee daily Intake operations, which includes scheduling, workload allocation, and adherence to workflow protocols.
• Provide coaching, feedback, performance evaluations, and implement corrective or disciplinary measures.
• Engage in the recruitment, onboarding, and training processes for new Intake personnel.
• Administer corrective action procedures for performance-related concerns.
• Assess staff work for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
• Detect operational and performance challenges that need leadership attention and escalate them with appropriate context and recommendations.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain staff engagement through continuous communication and educational initiatives.
• Ensure that documentation and timelines comply with URAC and NCQA standards for audit preparedness.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations, confidentiality, and minimum necessary access protocols.
• Perform quality assurance audits and conduct performance evaluations.
• Act as the subject matter expert for non-clinical intake operations, documentation standards, and compliance requirements.
• An associate degree is mandatory.
• 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory or team lead role is required.
• A year of call center experience is preferred.
• Experience in TPA, health plans, medical management services, medical billing, hospital, or emergency services is beneficial.
• Familiarity with managed care, utilization review (UR), case management (CM), or disease management (DM) is preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is necessary.
• A working understanding of medical claims processing and coding systems, including ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS, is required.
• Experience with Teams, SharePoint, VPN, UM Web or Health Notes, El Dorado, Quick Links, GIAS, ADP, Confluence, headset-equipped phone systems, and Smartsheet is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Airtable and Power BI, along with experience in creating data-driven reports, dashboards, and workflows, is a plus.
• Knowledge of NCQA and URAC standards is essential.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and claims processes is important.
