This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of patient cases from start to finish.
• Perform benefit investigations and manual inquiries as necessary.
• Handle prior authorizations, denial appeals, tier exceptions, and formulary exclusions.
• Assess financial eligibility for assistance programs.
• Support patients, prescribers, healthcare providers, clients, and other stakeholders through email and inbound/outbound calls.
• Establish trusted relationships via proactive communication and precise execution of tasks.
• Conduct program welcome calls and follow-up calls post-benefit investigations.
• Address client and healthcare professional inquiries in line with business guidelines.
• Manage incoming calls and direct patients to suitable resources.
• Relay benefit coverage information and next steps to patients and healthcare professionals.
• Utilize electronic tools and Lynk to ascertain benefits, payer coverage, and outcomes.
• Coordinate nurse education and follow-up adherence services.
• Identify resources for peer support.
• Organize product shipments through patient assistance and bridge programs.
• Communicate needs for prior authorization reverification and patient assistance re-enrollment.
• Report adverse events, product complaints, special situation reports, and medical inquiries according to standard operating procedures and business rules.
• Document actions in the PharmaCord Lynk system.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures and corporate policies while meeting training deadlines.
• Undertake additional assigned tasks or projects.
• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience required.
• Experience in customer service and the healthcare industry is preferred but not mandatory.
• Availability to work an 8.5-hour shift between 8 am and 9 pm, Monday to Friday is required.
• Basic computer skills are necessary.
• Ability to multitask efficiently.
• Strong communication skills, both clear and concise.
• Professional telephone manner.
• Attention to detail is crucial.
• Candidates who can type at least 35 words per minute with 97% accuracy are preferred.
• Willingness to travel as needed is preferred.
• Bilingual skills in Spanish and English are a plus.
• Successful completion of a background check; drug screening may be required depending on the position.
